Become a Citizen-Member of the Expand Social Security Caucus

At a time when support for expanding Social Security is at an all-time high, in Congress and across the country, the Expand Social Security Caucus will give our movement an institutional home in Congress.

In the Senate, the Expand Caucus will be chaired by Senators Bernie Sanders (VT) and Elizabeth Warren (MA). In the House, co-chairs include Representatives Debbie Dingell (MI), Raul Grijalva (AZ), Conor Lamb (PA), John Larson (CT), and Terri Sewell (AL).

Become an early citizen-member of the Expand Social Security Caucus and strengthen our movement for progressive change.

To: All members of Congress

I am becoming a citizen-member of the Expand Social Security Caucus because I understand that expanding vs. cutting Social Security’s modest benefits is a question of values, not affordability. Despite the repeated Wall Street-funded lies that try and convince us that Social Security is going broke, the reality is that Social Security has a $2.9 trillion surplus, can pay out ALL benefits owed for decades, and can pay increased benefits for decades more if the wealthy simply pay the same rate into Social Security as the rest of us.

We're proud to work with Social Security Works, Progress America, Sen. Jeff Merkley, Rep. Earl Blumenauer, Campaign for America's Future, Civic Action, Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC, DailyKos, Democracy for America, National Democratic Training Committee, People For the American Way, and Rashida Tlaib.
